Neoprobio is a new generation of vaginal probiotic medical device.

Neoprobio vaginal probiotic suppositories containing live cultures of lactic acid bacteria are designed to enrich and restore the natural bacterial microflora of the vagina and maintain its balance.

The natural bacterial flora of the vagina of a healthy woman is dominated mainly by lactic acid bacteria. They prevent the development of pathogenic bacterial flora through various mechanisms, such as the production of lactic acid, the maintenance of an optimal, slightly acidic environment and vaginal discharge, or the production of bacteriocins. Therefore, lactic acid bacteria act as a natural protective barrier. Under the influence of various factors, such as antibiotic therapy, improper hygiene procedures, reduced immunity, use of swimming pools, saunas, solariums, frequent travel, the balance of the bacterial flora may be disturbed, which can lead to a genital tract infection.

The acidic reaction that results creates unfavourable conditions for the development of pathogenic bacteria and thus recurrent infections, while creating favourable conditions for the development of lactic acid bacteria. In addition, Neoprobio contains lactose, a substance that is vital for beneficial bacteria (prebiotic). Also, ascorbic acid lowers the pH of the vaginal secretion, restoring the optimal environment for the development of lactic acid bacteria, and folic acid has a positive effect on the restoration of the vaginal epithelium.

Neoprobio vaginal suppositories are used in diseases characterised by a disturbance in the qualitative and quantitative composition of the bacterial microflora of the female genital tract (dysbiosis, bacterial infections or bacterial and fungal infections of the vagina). The use of Neoprobio vaginal suppositories may also be useful in cases of non-specific vaginal inflammation in women who have an elevated pH of the vaginal secretion. Used prophylactically, Neoprobio helps to maintain favourable conditions for the development of the natural vaginal bacterial flora.

Lyophilisate of three probiotic strains:

• Lactobacillus plantarum 200D
• Enterococcus faecium 77D
• Enterococcus durans Sm.

One suppository contains about 10⁹ CFU* (not less than 10⁷), i.e. one billion live probiotic lactic acid bacteria.

*CFU (colony forming unit) is a colony-forming unit.

• Lactose
• Ascorbic acid (vitamin C)
• Folic acid (vitamin B₉₎
• Neutral fat is the base of the suppository.

DOSAGE: Concomitant treatment of genital tract infections, to reduce the pathogenic bacterial flora of the vagina and restore the natural pH of the genital tract: one (preferably at bedtime) to two suppositories per day (one in the morning and one at night) for 10 days.

Prophylactically to maintain the normal composition of the genital tract bacterial microflora and physiological pH: one suppository (preferably at bedtime) for five days.

The product can also be used during and after antibiotic therapy.

METHOD OF APPLICATION: Wash your hands thoroughly before using the product. Insert the suppository deep into the vagina. If in doubt about the dosage and method of use, consult a doctor or pharmacist. If after several days of using the suppositories, the painful symptoms increase or do not stop, you should consult a doctor. A gynaecologist should be consulted regarding the use of Neoprobio vaginal suppositories by young girls (adolescents).

Pregnancy and breastfeeding. The product is used during pregnancy to create a healthy microbiocenosis of the birth canal, which is a guarantee of the transfer of beneficial microorganisms to the baby. The product is used during breastfeeding.

The product is generally very well tolerated. Very rarely, symptoms of hypersensitivity to the components of the product may occur. Reactions such as burning, itching, irritation of the vaginal mucosa and vulva may occur. In case of such symptoms, stop using the product and consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Do not use if you are allergic to any of the components of the product.

Due to the presence of live cultures of probiotic bacteria, Neoprobio vaginal suppositories should be stored in the refrigerator (2-8°C). Do not use the product after the expiry date indicated on the outer packaging. Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
